Isarmärchen -Illustrators from Munich pay homage to their home town

Beautiful as a fairy tale sings Bally Prell about Munich. Most of us who live here love our city, but don't know very much about its history. This was an occasion for us to look into this subject a little deeper. Bally Prell's famous song Isarmärchen was our inspiration. I personally found myself most interested in the time after the turn of the century and the 1918 revolution. Lover of books that I am, I ended up illustrating three book covers:

Herrn Dames Aufzeichnungen by Franziska Gräfin Reventlow;
Wir sind Gefangene by Oskar Maria Graf
and Die Rumplhanni by Lena Christ.

Also, I made two small paintings of Bally Prell singing on youtube.
